What should I set my Motherboard voltage to for my BIOS? 5 volt or 12 volt?
The differences between the 2 settings are in most cases this:
5 volt setting makes the BIOS read only.
12 volt setting makes the BIOS read-write.
If you are replacing the chip, then these settings will have little
effect. If you are attempting to flash the BIOS, then 12 volt is the
appropriate setting.
(NOTE: some bios chips will flash correctly at 5 volts.)
