When I try to flash my BIOS, I get the message FLASH ROM IS WRITE PROTECTED. What does this mean?
This usually means that there is some sort of write protection on the
chip that is preventing it from being flashed. Check in the original
CMOS settings for a setting that may be called BIOS GUARDIAN or FLASH
BIOS WRITE PROTECTION, and disable it.
If there are no settings in the CMOS, then consult your motherboard
manual for the location of a possible FLASH PROTECTION jumper on the
board.
